Spellbinders. July Blog Hop. The Indie Line + Giveaway

Hello my dear friends!

I’m so happy to join another blog hop from my  favorite Spellbinders!

You’ve come here from talented Laurie Willison and have already seen her wonderful creations. They are really very beautiful!

I can’t help admiring the new Indie Collection from Spellbinders and find this line just perfect! In a minute I’ll show you my cards, but also want to admit, that I used one more product from Spellbinders to make my projects. And it is a set of Burlap & Canvas Sheets. There are 9 sheets in a set and just now you can buy this set only for $2.

So, let’s start!

The first card I made using Layered Oak Tree and Thanks Expression sets of dies.

Now I’d like to show you how I made it.

First of all I created 4 ½ x 6 ¼ top folding card base, cut out a piece of burlap slightly smaller than a card base. I die cut an outline ot the word Thanks in low right corner and adhered a piece of canvas onto the card base.

Then I die cut the word Thanks three times, stuck them together for additional thickness and adhered it onto the card.

After that I die cut details for two oak trees out of white cardstock and applied inks to color them.

Then I placed the trunks of trees on the card and adhered them.

To finish the card I foam mounted  the parts of the crowns of trees onto the card.

I created one more similar card but turned my oak trees into sacuras and chose a light piece of canvas for the background.

Here you can see how dimentional the trees are.

I also played with Layered Rose and Layered Foliage and created one more card.

Here I’ve used the third kind of canvas from the set and choosen Hello Expressions set of stamps and dies.

I have to say that all sheets of burlap and canvas stick great to the cardstock. I used double-sided adhesive to fix them and didn’t have any problems with that. To adhere die cuts onto the background I used liquid glue and double-sided foam adhesive. They both also worked perfectly.

And here is the last card for today using Hello Expressions and Layered Tulips set of dies.

Here I also die cut details out of white cardstock and colored them applying inks.
