Spellbinders. Cards for Kids

Hello dear readers!

I’m not a big fan of cards for kids and don’t do them very often, but it’s so easy to make them with dies from new Spellbinders’ release. Baby Step Block Card set of dies contains a lot of necessary details for the newborn cards. Here are two cards I made for baby girl and baby boy.

As you can see, the creation of these cards takes not so many efforts. You just need to die-cut details, color them and foam mount onto the card. I just want to explain how you can easily create such shirts with stripes in two ways.

For the boy’s card I die-cut three details and colored each with different shades of green.

Then I cut three shirts at once into small stripes.

I covered a cardstock with double sided adhesive and also die-cut three shirts out of it.

After I took off the adhesive I started to combine and adhere different stripes together.

I created three cute shirts for my card.

I also used another technique for the girl’s shirts. I colored a piece of cardstock with the pink and the thin stripe with violet alcohol markers. Then I adhered the thin stripe onto the pink colored cardstock. I added one more super thin white stripe onto the top of the violet one. I die-cut three shirts out of this cardstock.

I also colored the duck and the bear, added them google eyes and draw some details with the extra thin liner.

And to add my cards finished look I also draw black drops with my liner on the border of the front panels.
